Bucks County Small Long Distance Movers
Specializing in small long distance moves from Bucks County since 2007. From a single piece of furniture up to a small studio – we handle what big van lines will not. Pickup from Doylestown, New Hope, Newtown, Yardley, Bensalem, Levittown.
Bucks County is stone farmhouses on country roads, river-town artist colonies, and the family suburbs that ring Philadelphia to the north. LiteMovers has packed and shipped from Doylestown’s historic district near the Mercer Museum, New Hope’s Main Street studios, Newtown’s borough Colonials, Yardley’s River Road Federal homes, and the Levittown sections that defined post-war American suburbia since 2007. We are a family-owned Pennsylvania moving company headquartered at 307 East Church Rd in King of Prussia. We hold PA PUC Certificate A-8916211, USDOT 2173383, and MC-888055.
Most national van lines have a minimum weight or piece count that makes small long distance moves expensive or impossible. A single antique dresser to North Carolina, a few boxes and a sofa to Florida, a studio’s worth of belongings to Boston – these jobs slip through the cracks of the big carriers. We built this service for them.
How We Handle Small Long Distance Moves
A four-bedroom Doylestown stone farmhouse heading to Vermont on a fixed closing date needs a different plan than a single piece of furniture going to upstate New York. We offer both options.

How Each Option Works
Direct Move: A LiteMovers crew arrives at your Bucks County home, packs and loads our truck, and drives directly to your destination. The same crew unloads at delivery. This is the fastest option and gives you a fixed delivery date.
Consolidated Shipment: A LiteMovers crew picks up at your home and shuttles to our King of Prussia warehouse at 307 East Church Rd. Plycon Van Lines, our long-haul partner, picks up the consolidated shipment for over-the-road transport. Most shipments deliver within a 20-day turnaround window.
How to Get Your Long Distance Estimate
For Direct LiteMovers Moves: Direct moves work best for full households or any move with urgent timing. Call us at (610) 755-5535 or 1-877-798-8989 to schedule an in-home walkthrough. Our crew chief reviews the inventory in person, measures access, and writes the estimate on site.
For Plycon Consolidated Shipments
Consolidated shipments are sized for anything from a single piece of furniture up to a small studio’s worth of belongings. Because Plycon prices by cubic feet, weight, and distance, we need a clear picture of your shipment up front to write an estimate that holds. Email everything below to moves@litemovers.com and we will follow up the same business day.
- Pickup address in Bucks County
- Delivery address at destination
- Your phone number for follow-up questions
- Ideal timing – your target pickup date and any move-out or move-in deadlines
- Dimensions of every item being moved measured as length x width x height (furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, outdoor pieces, anything large or unusual)
- Photographs of every room plus close-ups of artwork, glass tops, chandeliers, antiques, pianos, sculptures, mirrors, and oversized furniture
Send everything to moves@litemovers.com. Long distance moves are governed by federal FMCSA regulations under our USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055 authority.

Local Challenges Unique to Bucks County
Stone farmhouses are the defining structure of central and upper Bucks County. Many of these homes have low ceilings, narrow stairwells, and antique built-ins that require careful disassembly. Doors often measure narrower than modern standards. We plan disassembly during the in-home estimate. New Hope and Lambertville borough streets are some of the tightest in the region – we coordinate parking with local borough offices and often shuttle from the curb. Levittown has the opposite challenge: cookie-cutter tract homes with similar dimensions but driveways shared between neighbors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer direct long distance moves or only consolidated shipments?
Both. LiteMovers handles direct over-the-road moves with our own crews and trucks for full-household and time-sensitive Bucks County moves. We also offer consolidated shipments through our long-haul partner Plycon Van Lines for smaller loads ranging from a single piece of furniture up to about a small studio’s worth of belongings. The right option depends on the size of your shipment and how flexible your delivery window is. Email pickup address, delivery address, dates, dimensions, and photos to moves@litemovers.com and we will recommend the best fit and provide a written estimate.
What information do you need for a long distance estimate?
For direct LiteMovers moves, call us at (610) 755-5535 to schedule an in-home walkthrough – we measure and inventory in person. For Plycon consolidated shipments, which range from one piece of furniture up to about a small studio’s worth of belongings, email everything to moves@litemovers.com. We need your pickup address in Bucks County, your delivery address at destination, your phone number, and your ideal timing including target pickup date and any move-out or move-in deadlines. We also need dimensions of every item being moved measured as length by width by height. This includes furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, outdoor pieces, and any oversized item. Finally, send photographs of every room plus close-ups of anything fragile, valuable, or unusual. Artwork, glass tops, chandeliers, antiques, pianos, and mirrors should each have a photo.
Do you handle stone farmhouse moves?
Yes. Bucks County stone farmhouses often have narrow doorways, low ceilings, and built-in cabinetry that requires careful disassembly. We plan disassembly during the in-home estimate or from the dimensions and photos you email. Antique pieces and original built-ins receive pad-wrap and corner protection. We protect original wood floors with floor runners. Stone farmhouse moves often run as direct over-the-road moves so the same crew handles antique pieces from pickup to delivery.
Can you handle New Hope and Lambertville borough access?
Yes. New Hope’s Main Street and Lambertville’s narrow river-town streets require small trucks, careful parking coordination, and sometimes shuttle staging. LiteMovers crews scout the access during the in-home estimate or from your photos. We coordinate with the local borough as needed for parking. Smaller river-town shipments often run as consolidated moves – we shuttle to King of Prussia and Plycon takes the load from our warehouse for the line haul.
How is my long distance estimate regulated?
Long distance moves crossing state lines are regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, not the Pennsylvania PUC. LiteMovers operates under USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055. We provide written non-binding estimates built from a detailed inventory of items, weight, cubic feet, and distance. Federal rules require licensed interstate carriers to honor the 110% rule on non-binding estimates: your final charges at delivery should not exceed 110% of the written estimate without your written authorization. We discuss any condition that could change the estimate before pickup. There are no surprise charges, no promotional gimmicks, and no hidden fees.
Ready to Plan Your Bucks County Long Distance Move?
Big van lines often pass on small long distance moves. We do not. From a single piece of furniture to a small studio, email pickup address, delivery address, phone, timing, dimensions, and photos to moves@litemovers.com. For full-household direct moves, call (610) 755-5535.
