We are not looking for someone to sit in the cab while the crew works. Our driver-foremen are working leaders. You drive the truck, you load and unload alongside your crew, and you own the job from the first walk-through to the final placement. If you have real moving industry experience and know how to lead a team in this environment, we want to talk.

Drive the Truck

Box trucks from 16,000 to 26,000 GVW for local and interstate runs. Clean driving record is non-negotiable. CDL is a plus but not required for all positions.

Lead the Crew

You are in charge on the job. Direct the crew efficiently. Solve problems on the fly. Keep the job moving forward professionally from start to finish.

Work the Job

Everyone works — including the driver. You load and unload alongside your crew. Physical fitness is required. If you are not ready to work, this is not the right fit.

Own the Customer Experience

You represent LiteMovers. Communicate with customers professionally. Address concerns before they become problems. A great foreman earns a five-star review every time.

Run Local Routes

Most work is local — Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia, the Main Line. You know this area. We use that knowledge every day.

Interstate Runs

Long-distance moves to Florida, the Carolinas, New York, New England, and the mid-Atlantic. Multi-day runs with per diem. You earn more on interstate jobs.

Is moving industry experience required for the driver-foreman role?

Yes. This is not an entry-level position. We need candidates who have worked in the moving industry, led crews on residential or commercial moves, and understand the pace and standards this work demands. Experience managing customer relationships on the job site is also important. If you have that background and are looking for a better situation, we want to hear from you.

Do I need a CDL to drive for LiteMovers?

CDL Class A or B is strongly preferred and opens the most opportunities — especially for interstate runs. However, not every position requires a CDL. We operate box trucks across a range of GVW ratings. A standard commercial license may qualify you for certain roles. Tell us your license class when you reach out and we will talk through what fits best.

What routes do LiteMovers drivers run?

The majority of our volume is local — moves within the Greater Philadelphia region including Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Bucks County, and the city. We also run interstate routes to Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, New York, New England, and other East Coast destinations. Interstate runs include per diem for travel days and typically pay more than local jobs. We balance the mix based on demand and team availability.

Is LiteMovers licensed for interstate moving?

Yes. LiteMovers holds USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055, authorizing us for interstate household goods moves throughout the United States. We are also licensed by the Pennsylvania PUC under License A-8916211 for intrastate Pennsylvania moves. All operations are fully insured and DOT compliant. You are driving for a legitimate, properly licensed carrier — not a broker or a gray-market operation.
