Saturday & Weekend Movers — Philadelphia & the Main Line
Moves performed 7 days a week. Saturdays book out fast — call today.
Most Philadelphia-area renters and homeowners can’t take a weekday off to move. Leases turn on the 1st and the 31st. Closings fall on Fridays. Kids have school. That’s why LiteMovers performs moves 7 days a week — including Saturdays, Sundays, early mornings, and evenings — throughout the Main Line, Chester County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Bucks County, and Philadelphia.
Our Wayne, PA office keeps standard weekday hours (Monday through Friday, 9–5), but our moving crews and trucks run Saturdays and Sundays every week of the year. If you need a weekend mover on the Main Line, call or text 610-755-5535.
Why Book a Saturday Move With LiteMovers

Saturday Apartment Moves
Apartment leases almost always start or end on the 1st or the last day of the month, and weekends fill up first. If your lease turns on a Saturday or Sunday, we recommend booking at least 3 weeks in advance during moving season (May–September) and at least 10 days ahead the rest of the year.
We move studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments across Philadelphia and the suburbs — including AVE Malvern, River Station, Wynnewood properties, Conshohocken high-rises, and luxury buildings throughout Center City and the Main Line. Learn more about our apartment moving service.
Sunday Moves & Evening Moves
Sundays are our second-most-requested day after Saturdays. They’re often more available on short notice and sometimes priced slightly lower. Evening moves (starting 4 PM or later) are ideal for:
- Closings that fund late in the day
- Office-hour-only building access that opens after 5 PM
- Light apartment moves that only take 2–3 hours
- Last-minute weekday bookings when weekend slots are full
Weekend Moving Rates & What to Expect
Weekend move pricing at LiteMovers is the same as weekday pricing — there’s no Saturday surcharge. All local moves in Pennsylvania are billed under PA PUC Tariff 51-W, which governs hourly rates for licensed household goods carriers in the state. You’ll receive a written estimate before your move, and 90% of our moves come in at or under estimate.
Weekend-specific notes:
- Minimums: 3-hour minimum on local moves (Saturday and weekday alike).
- Start times: Saturday crews start as early as 7 AM. Popular slots (8 AM, 9 AM) book first.
- Same-day confirmation: We confirm your crew and truck 24–48 hours before the move.
- Payment: Credit card, Venmo, Cash App, check, or cash.

Saturday & Weekend Moving FAQ
Does LiteMovers really move on Saturdays?
Yes — every Saturday. Our office is open Monday through Friday, but crews and trucks work 7 days a week. Saturday is our most-requested day.
Do you charge more for Saturday moves?
No. Weekend moves are billed at the same hourly rate as weekday moves under PA PUC Tariff 51-W. There’s no Saturday or Sunday surcharge.
How far in advance should I book a Saturday move?
During peak moving season (May through September) we recommend 3–4 weeks out for Saturdays falling on or near the 1st and 31st of the month. Off-season, 10–14 days is usually enough. Last-minute Saturday slots do open up — call us even if you’re looking at next weekend.
Do you move on Sundays?
Yes, Sundays are available. They’re typically easier to book on shorter notice than Saturdays.
Can you issue a Certificate of Insurance for a Saturday move?
Yes. COIs are generated Monday through Friday by our office. For a Saturday move, get us the building’s requirements by Wednesday or Thursday and we’ll have the COI sent directly to your property manager before the weekend.
What if I need to move on a holiday weekend?
We work most holiday weekends, including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends — these are extremely high-demand for leases ending 5/31, 6/30, 8/31, and 9/1. Book 4+ weeks in advance for holiday weekends.
