Understanding Your Rights and Responsibilities

These terms govern your use of LiteMovers services. Please read carefully before booking your move.
Service Agreement
When you book with LiteMovers, you agree to these terms and conditions. Our services are provided according to our published tariff rates and Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission regulations.
Booking and Estimates
All estimates are based on information you provide. Actual costs may vary based on:
- Actual time required to complete the move
- Additional services requested on move day
- Access challenges not disclosed during estimate
- Additional items not included in original inventory
- Weather or traffic delays beyond our control
Payment Terms
- Local Moves: Payment is due upon completion. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
- Long Distance Moves: Deposit required at booking. Balance due before or upon delivery.
- Storage: Monthly payments due by the first of each month.
- Late Fees: A 1.5% monthly fee applies to unpaid balances after 30 days.
Customer Responsibilities
Before Move Day
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate inventory and access information
- Securing parking permits if required
- Notifying us of building requirements or restrictions
- Disconnecting appliances (washer, dryer, etc.)
- Emptying gas from lawn equipment
- Disclosing any hazardous materials
On Move Day
Please ensure:
- Clear pathways from home to truck
- Utilities are on at destination
- You or authorized representative is present
- Pets are secured for safety
- Children are supervised away from work areas
Liability and Protection
Basic Coverage
All moves include basic liability coverage at no additional charge. This provides protection at 60 cents per pound per article.
Additional full-value protection is available for purchase. Ask your move coordinator for details.
Items Not Covered
We cannot move or accept liability for:
- Cash, jewelry, securities, or valuable papers
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, propane)
- Perishable foods
- Plants (long distance moves)
- Personal items of extraordinary value
- Items packed by customer unless noted on inventory
Claims Process
If damage occurs:
- Note damage on inventory at delivery
- Contact us within 9 months of move date
- Provide photos and supporting documentation
- We will investigate and respond within 30 days
Cancellation Policy
- 7+ Days Notice: Full refund of any deposits
- 3-6 Days Notice: 50% of estimated move cost retained
- Less Than 3 Days: 100% of estimated cost retained
- Same Day Cancellation: Full charge applies
We understand emergencies happen. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
Storage Terms
- 30-day minimum storage period required
- Monthly rent due by first of each month
- Late fees apply after 15 days
- 30 days written notice required for removal
- Access available during business hours by appointment
- Storage facility is climate-controlled and secure

LiteMovers operates under the following licenses and regulations:

We comply with all Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission regulations for household goods carriers.

If you have concerns about our services:

- We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly
- If unresolved, you may file a complaint with the Pennsylvania PUC
- For interstate moves, contact FMCSA at 1-888-DOT-SAFT
