Chester County Small Long Distance Movers
Specializing in small long distance moves from Chester County since 2007. From a single piece of furniture up to a small studio – we handle what big van lines will not. Pickup from West Chester, Downingtown, Malvern, Phoenixville, Chadds Ford, Kennett Square.
Chester County is Pennsylvania horse country, mushroom country, and Quaker country all at once. LiteMovers has packed and shipped from stone farmhouses on Pocopson Road, new construction in Exton’s Eagleview, downtown West Chester townhomes near Gay Street, and historic Brandywine Valley estates near Longwood Gardens since 2007. We are a family-owned Pennsylvania moving company headquartered at 307 East Church Rd in King of Prussia. We hold PA PUC Certificate A-8916211, USDOT 2173383, and MC-888055.
Most national van lines have a minimum weight or piece count that makes small long distance moves expensive or impossible. A single antique dresser to North Carolina, a few boxes and a sofa to Florida, a studio’s worth of belongings to Boston – these jobs slip through the cracks of the big carriers. We built this service for them.
How We Handle Small Long Distance Moves
Not every long-distance move is the same. A four-bedroom Chester Springs farmhouse heading to Naples on a fixed closing date needs a different plan than a single piece of furniture going to Boston. We offer both options.
LiteMovers Direct
Best for full households or urgent timing. Our crew loads at your Chester County home and drives straight to destination in our own truck. One team, one truck, door to door. Ideal when you need a fixed delivery date or have a closing to hit.
- Same crew at pickup and delivery
- Direct over-the-road transport
- Tight delivery windows possible
- Best for full-home moves
Consolidated via Plycon
Best for smaller shipments or flexible timing. Sized for anything from a single piece of furniture up to a small studio’s worth of belongings. LiteMovers picks up at your home, stages at our King of Prussia warehouse, and our long-haul partner Plycon Van Lines runs the over-the-road leg. Most shipments deliver within a 20-day turnaround window.
- From one piece of furniture up to a small studio
- Cost-effective for smaller loads
- 20-day turnaround window
- Plycon white-glove handling
How Each Option Works
Direct Move: A LiteMovers crew arrives at your Chester County home, packs and loads our truck, and drives directly to your destination. The same crew unloads at delivery. This is the fastest option and gives you a fixed delivery date.
Consolidated Shipment: A LiteMovers crew picks up at your home and shuttles to our King of Prussia warehouse at 307 East Church Rd. Plycon Van Lines, our long-haul partner, picks up the consolidated shipment for over-the-road transport. Plycon trucks are satellite-tracked and the team is trained for white-glove handling. Most shipments deliver within a 20-day turnaround window.
How to Get Your Long Distance Estimate
For Direct LiteMovers Moves: Direct moves work best for full households or any move with urgent timing. Call us at (610) 755-5535 or 1-877-798-8989 to schedule an in-home walkthrough. Our crew chief reviews the inventory in person, measures access, and writes the estimate on site.
For Plycon Consolidated Shipments
Consolidated shipments are sized for anything from a single piece of furniture up to a small studio’s worth of belongings. Because Plycon prices by cubic feet, weight, and distance, we need a clear picture of your shipment up front to write an estimate that holds. Email everything below to moves@litemovers.com and we will follow up the same business day.
- Pickup address in Chester County
- Delivery address at destination
- Your phone number for follow-up questions
- Ideal timing – your target pickup date and any move-out or move-in deadlines
- Dimensions of every item being moved measured as length x width x height (furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, outdoor pieces, anything large or unusual)
- Photographs of every room plus close-ups of artwork, glass tops, chandeliers, antiques, pianos, sculptures, mirrors, and oversized furniture
Send everything to moves@litemovers.com. Long distance moves are governed by federal FMCSA regulations under our USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055 authority.

Local Challenges Unique to Chester County
Rural access is the single biggest planning factor here. Many homes on Pocopson Road, Street Road, and the back roads of East Marlborough Township sit at the end of long gravel driveways with low tree limbs. A 53-foot trailer cannot always reach the front door. We solve this with shuttles. LiteMovers brings smaller trucks for the local pickup. Horse farms add another layer: we coordinate around feeding schedules and turnout times. Historic stone homes in Chadds Ford and Kennett Square often have narrow stairwells that require disassembly of larger pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer direct long distance moves or only consolidated shipments?
Both. LiteMovers handles direct over-the-road moves with our own crews and trucks for full-household and time-sensitive Chester County moves. We also offer consolidated shipments through our long-haul partner Plycon Van Lines for smaller loads ranging from a single piece of furniture up to about a small studio’s worth of belongings. The right option depends on the size of your shipment and how flexible your delivery window is. Email pickup address, delivery address, dates, dimensions, and photos to moves@litemovers.com and we will recommend the best fit and provide a written estimate.
What information do you need for a long distance estimate?
For direct LiteMovers moves, call us at (610) 755-5535 to schedule an in-home walkthrough – we measure and inventory in person. For Plycon consolidated shipments, which range from one piece of furniture up to about a small studio’s worth of belongings, email everything to moves@litemovers.com. We need your pickup address in Chester County, your delivery address at destination, your phone number, and your ideal timing including target pickup date and any move-out or move-in deadlines. We also need dimensions of every item being moved measured as length by width by height. This includes furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, outdoor pieces, and any oversized item. Finally, send photographs of every room plus close-ups of anything fragile, valuable, or unusual. Artwork, glass tops, chandeliers, antiques, pianos, and mirrors should each have a photo.
Can your trucks reach long rural Chester County driveways?
Many Chester County driveways are too narrow or have low tree limbs that block a 53-foot tractor-trailer. When that is the case, LiteMovers brings smaller trucks for the local pickup. For consolidated shipments we shuttle the load to our King of Prussia warehouse. For direct moves we can transfer to our long-haul truck at the warehouse or stage road-accessible loading. The shuttle approach protects your trees, gravel, fencing, and any stone walls along the drive. We scout the access during the in-home estimate or from the photographs you email us.
What is the 20-day turnaround window for consolidated shipments?
The 20-day window applies to consolidated shipments running through our King of Prussia warehouse and out via Plycon. It is the typical period from your local pickup to final delivery at destination. It accounts for warehouse staging, line-haul scheduling, and final-mile delivery. Some shorter routes deliver faster. Some cross-country routes use the full window. Direct moves do not use this window because the same LiteMovers truck runs from pickup to delivery on a fixed schedule.
How is my long distance estimate regulated?
Long distance moves crossing state lines are regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, not the Pennsylvania PUC. LiteMovers operates under USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055. We provide written non-binding estimates built from a detailed inventory of items, weight, cubic feet, and distance. Federal rules require licensed interstate carriers to honor the 110% rule on non-binding estimates: your final charges at delivery should not exceed 110% of the written estimate without your written authorization. We discuss any condition that could change the estimate before pickup. There are no surprise charges, no promotional gimmicks, and no hidden fees.
Ready to Plan Your Chester County Long Distance Move?
Big van lines often pass on small long distance moves. We do not. From a single piece of furniture to a small studio, email pickup address, delivery address, phone, timing, dimensions, and photos to moves@litemovers.com. For full-household direct moves, call (610) 755-5535.
