Most Mid-Atlantic moves deliver same-day. Baltimore, Wilmington, Annapolis, Lancaster, Reading, and York are all 1-2 hour drives from our Wayne, Pennsylvania base. Washington DC, Silver Spring, and Eastern Shore destinations run 2-3 hours and still typically deliver same-day with a morning load. Pittsburgh and Erie at the far edge of Pennsylvania take 5-7 hours of driving and usually deliver next-day. We confirm a target delivery time before move day so you know when to expect the truck.

Yes. Many Washington DC and Northern Virginia high-rises require a Certificate of Insurance from your moving company. The COI lists the building owner and management company as additional insured parties. LiteMovers issues a COI within one business day of receiving your building’s specific requirements. Send the requirements to your estimator when booking and we’ll have it ready before move day. Federal-area buildings, condo complexes in Bethesda and Silver Spring, and most Capitol Hill apartment buildings require COIs.

Yes. We run same-day moves for full households across the Mid-Atlantic every week. The key is starting early and having packing done before move day. Crews typically arrive between 7 and 9 AM, load through midday, and roll out by early afternoon. Same-day delivery to DC, Baltimore, Wilmington, or Lancaster typically completes between 4 PM and 8 PM. Larger homes or complex moves sometimes need a two-day approach with overnight storage on the truck. Your estimator will recommend the right schedule during the in-home walkthrough.

Yes. We handle PCS-related moves and household relocations for service members and federal employees across the Mid-Atlantic. Common destinations include Naval Academy at Annapolis, Carlisle Barracks, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Naval Station Norfolk, and the federal corridor between DC and Northern Virginia. We work directly with personally procured moves (PPMs) where the service member coordinates and submits documentation. Book your move 4-6 weeks in advance when possible. Mid-Atlantic moves have shorter lead times than long-distance moves because they’re typically same-day or next-day haul. Summer months from May through August are the busiest stretch and dates fill quickly. End-of-month and beginning-of-month dates fill first because of lease and closing schedules.
