Ardmore Apartment and Condo Movers
Ardmore has two kinds of apartments. There are newer buildings near the train station, with elevators and move-in rules. And there are older walk-ups above the shops on Lancaster Avenue, with steep stairs and no loading area. LiteMovers moves both, and has since 2007.
This page is our guide to Ardmore apartment moves. For houses and other services, visit our main Ardmore movers page.

Ardmore Apartment Building Guides
Pick your building for move-day notes on parking, loading, and elevators.
Smart-home apartments near Ardmore Station. Book the loading time early.
Newer Buildings vs. Walk-Ups
Newer elevator buildings
- ✓Book the elevator or loading area as soon as you have a date.
- ✓Send us the property manager’s contact so we can send the COI.
- ✓Expect set move hours. Many buildings do not allow evening moves.
- ✓We pad the elevator and protect hallways and door frames.
Walk-ups over Lancaster Avenue shops
- ✓Stairs are steep and narrow. We send enough movers to carry safely.
- ✓There is no loading dock. We plan the truck spot on a side street or alley.
- ✓Big pieces may need to come apart. We measure first.
- ✓We protect the shared stairway and the shop entrance below.
Common Ardmore Apartment Challenges
Month-end crunch. Many Ardmore leases end on the same day. Elevators book up, and so do movers. Book early.
Curb space. Downtown blocks are metered and busy. We plan parking ahead so the truck is close to your door.
Two townships. Apartments on the Haverford Township side follow different rules than those in Lower Merion. We check your address when you book.

Ardmore Apartment Moving FAQs
Do Ardmore apartment buildings need a Certificate of Insurance?
Most newer Ardmore buildings do. One Ardmore Place, The Square, Cricket Flats, and Coulter Place all have move rules for insurance and loading. LiteMovers sends the Certificate of Insurance to your property manager at no charge, a few days before move day.
How do you move out of a walk-up apartment on Lancaster Avenue?
We send enough movers to carry safely on steep stairs, usually three or four. We plan the truck spot on a side street or rear alley, since Lancaster Avenue is too busy for long stops. Big pieces come apart before they go down the stairs.
When is the busiest time for Ardmore apartment moves?
The last few days of the month are the busiest time for Ardmore apartment moves. Summer is the busiest season. Book two to four weeks ahead, and earlier for June through August or a month-end date.
Can you store my things between Ardmore leases?
Yes. If your new apartment is not ready, we hold your things in our climate-monitored warehouse and deliver when it is. One crew handles pickup, storage, and delivery.
