An Ardmore Moving Company That Knows 19003
Ardmore is the busiest downtown on the Main Line. It sits along Lancaster Avenue between Haverford and Wynnewood. The town is split in two. Most of Ardmore is in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County. The southern part is in Haverford Township, Delaware County.
That split matters on moving day. Each township has its own streets, parking rules, and permit office. The school district changes too. Lower Merion families go to Lower Merion schools, and Haverford Township families go to Haverford schools. We confirm which side you are on when you book.
Downtown and Lancaster Avenue
The blocks around Lancaster Avenue, Cricket Avenue, and Ardmore Avenue are the heart of town. Shops sit on the ground floor with apartments above. Many of those apartments are walk-ups with steep stairs. Curb space is short, so we plan where the truck will park before we arrive.
The train station and new apartments
Ardmore Station has SEPTA Regional Rail and Amtrak Keystone service. Several newer buildings sit close by, including One Ardmore Place and The Square. These buildings have elevators, loading areas, and strict move-in rules. See our Ardmore apartment movers page for building notes.
Suburban Square
Suburban Square is one of the oldest shopping centers in the country, and it draws crowds. Weekend afternoons are the slowest time to drive past it. We plan loads around the busy hours so the crew is not stuck in traffic.
South Ardmore and the side streets
The residential streets are full of twin homes, porch-front singles, and older stone colonials. Driveways are narrow and often shared. Our Ardmore house movers page explains how we handle them.

Ardmore Buildings We Move In and Out Of
- ✓One Ardmore Place, smart-home apartments near the station
- ✓The Square, a boutique apartment building downtown
- ✓Cricket Flats, award-winning apartments in town
- ✓Coulter Place, a newer building in Ardmore
Real Ardmore Moving Challenges
- ✓Two townships. Lower Merion and Haverford Township have different rules. We check which one covers your street.
- ✓Walk-ups over shops. Many Lancaster Avenue apartments have steep, narrow stairs. We send enough movers to carry safely.
- ✓Tight curb space. Metered blocks and busy corners leave little room. We plan the truck spot and set up signs when needed.
- ✓Shared driveways. Twin homes often share a drive with a neighbor. We keep it clear and talk to neighbors when needed.
- ✓Month-end rush. Many Ardmore leases end on the last day of the month. Book early if your move falls then.

Ardmore Moving FAQs
Is Ardmore in Lower Merion or Haverford Township?
Both. Ardmore is split between Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County and Haverford Township in Delaware County. The side you live on decides your school district, trash service, and where permits come from. We check your address when you book so the paperwork goes to the right township.
Where do moving trucks park in downtown Ardmore?
In downtown Ardmore, trucks usually load from a side street, a rear alley, or a building’s loading area. Lancaster Avenue is too busy for long stops. We look at your block before move day and plan the truck spot, and we set up no-parking signs when a metered block needs them.
Do you move people into the new apartments near the Ardmore train station?
Yes. We move residents in and out of One Ardmore Place, The Square, Cricket Flats, and Coulter Place. Each one needs an elevator or loading booking and a Certificate of Insurance. We handle both with the property manager before move day.
What is the best day to move in Ardmore?
A weekday morning is the best time to move in Ardmore. Suburban Square traffic peaks on weekend afternoons, and Lancaster Avenue slows during rush hour. The end of the month is the busiest time for Ardmore apartments, so book early if your lease ends then.
Is LiteMovers licensed for moves in Ardmore?
Yes. LiteMovers holds PA PUC certificate A-8916211 for moves inside Pennsylvania, plus USDOT 2173383 and MC-888055 for interstate moves. Our crews are W-2 employees, and we have moved Ardmore families since 2007.
